God is the joy I desire
the love my heart yearns for
the peace in the chaos of my soul
the passion that burns deeply a raging fire
there is no one like Him
God is the freedom from the chains of the world around me
the patience in the walk of waiting
the boldness to proclaim, declare, shout "He is!"
the faith I need in the valley of the shadow of death
there is no one like Him
God is the smile on my face
the laugh from my mouth
the beauty from the inside out
the fragrance of who I am
the fragrance of who I am

God is the sunshine on my face
the wind blowing on my hair
the rain on my skin
the light in the darkness
there is no one like Him
God is the redeemer of my blessed life
the rescuer that lifts me out of my mess
the faithful friend who will be there till the end
the Father above all who has captured my heart
