WoW...
I finally started a blog. Ive been thinking about starting one for a while i just never did.
Well, ALOT has been going on-some good and some not so great...
im trying to hang in there, and i know God has been there every step of the way.
To be honest, i feel so weary, tired, broken...but its ok, i know God has me where He wants me and it wont always be like this!
So, God's really been speaking to me about different situations going on, its not hard to hear it, its just hard to take it and put it into action. lol. can anyone relate?
One cool thing God showed me last night was expectations. Like for the past several days, probably even weeks, i have had expectations...mayb not the best of course...but some kind of expectation. I have had some kind of exectation of WANTING God to do things, say thing, and such but did not have the expectation that God WILL DO something...It's always easy for us to have expectations of God, but not always have to expect him to actually do it- whether it be something that you pray for for yourself or someone else, or even just in our daily walk. Our expectations are always raised to a higher standard when some kind of conference comes around with some amazing and anoited [[which is good :]] speaker comes, or you retreats, or mayb even mission trips or just some kind of outreach. But what about just the everyday life?- work, school, personally, in our government, America, a trip to the grocery store, family times/reunions....the list could go on. I think God wants us not to just have the expectations of Him doing things, but having the faith and expecting that he will do it- in everything, daily.
As we walk with Him and spend time with Him, our expectations should reach higher and higher- above the mountains. We get comfortable alot of times, im so guilty of this, that we quit reaching higher. We keep reaching for what we know we can get and even for things we already have, whether it be spiritual or physical. God is calling his Children and the Church to WAKE UP and get out of complacency and apathy. To reach beyond what we have, can get, and even see. But First, it takes us to humble ourselves and realize without Him we are weak, nothing...we can't breathe and have another heartbeat with out the breathe and hand of God. It says in Matt 5 [the beatitudes] that "...blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kindgom of heaven..." If we want Heaven to come to America, we need to realize our desperation and need for God. I had a friend say that when we recognize that we that we are poor in spirit we tap into a supernatural power. [i may have just totally butchered what she actually said...lol...so i apologize if i did :]. We bring the Kingdom of Heaven. Right before Jesus ascended into Heaven, He said "all the power and authority i have I give to you." in other words, "Its your turn. Continue what i started. For you will do even bigger and greater things than i have." Then Jesus went home to be with Daddy and left us with a purpose. Its our responsibility, and also Joy, to be able to join in on the Ministry that Jesus started and take it further into the world. Just as Jesus brought the kingdom to earth in everything He did and said, we need to go out and do the same, even bigger and greater thing [just as Jesus said]. If we dont, who will? Yea, God is a God who could do it all on his own. But he delights in using His children. We, as God's children, have access into the Kingdom that alot of other people dont. As we spend time with God, encounter Him, let Him transform us, and be available for Him to use us, then we become more in the likeness and reflection of Christ. God establishes His kingdom in us to spread to the World. My constant prayer is that people won't see, but they would see the love, face, and fullness of Jesus. Im not perfect, but i dont have to be. Neither do You. We are more than conquerors!
We, also, need to be surrendered to him- to His ways. To reach higher, some of the things we are holding onto that we may find "precious" or "worth" something, really dont mean much, if anything, to God because He has things for us sooooo much better than that and is everlasting. Things we can't imagine. The things we hold onto may hold us down/back from reaching higher and be more of an obstacle. But as we surrender ourselves and those things to Jesus, then He can fills us with more of Himself and take us higher up the mountain. God is raising up a Generation that is totally surrendered to God and sold out for the Kingdom. For such a time as this. It's not always easy. God didn't say it would be easy, but He did say it would be worth it.
It is time we quit living in the past, but just learn from the past.
Live in today, and look towards tomorrow.
God's got a BIG HEART for His people and for this nation. Let's grab hold of it, run with it, and go for the ride of our lives!!!! =D
WoW...thats more than what i actually planned to say. God is awesome!!
